Submission Guidelines

Paper submission

QShine 2009 invites submission of manuscripts that present original material and that have not been previously published or under review by another conference or journal. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a PDF version of the full paper in ACM conference proceedings format, which are limited to 8 single-spaced two-column pages (including all figures and references) in a 10 point font.

Authors of submitted papers should select 1 or 2 keywords to allow a better classification and assignment of papers to reviewers.

Papers must be electronically submitted through the ASSYST system. Submission instructions for ASSYST are availabe here.

Camera ready submission

Camera ready versions of accepted papers must be submitted through the ASSYST system.

Papers must be no longer than 17 pages, in Springer LNICST format, including all figures and references. Two extra pages are allowed for additional charge (up to a total 19 pages). Please refer to the readme.txt file for a guide on what is located in Springer-Verlag LNICST ftp directory. This directory includes author instructions as well as templates and style sheets to make formatting your submission easier.

The Camera Ready Submission Instructions for ASSYST are availabe here. Camera ready papers must follow the following terms and conditions in order to be included in the conference proceedings:

  • One of the authors of the paper has to upload the precisely formatted camera-ready version to the Paper Management System (ASSYST) with the correctly filled data of the paper as well as the co-authors by the appropriate deadline.
  • The author who uploads the camera ready paper to the Paper Management System (ASSYST) has to agree with the terms of the Copyright Form during the upload process.
  • At least one author of the paper has to register at a non-student rate, even if all authors are students. Completed registration is required for all accepted papers.
